Beedster Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Moving house and jobs at the moment so just bought this to play whilst on the road and in the new place until my Precisions get there in a few weeks (well I'd wanted one for a while anyway but this story worked best as an excuse to keep things sweet with Lady Beedster). Lovely, lovely bass, 1996, cherry sunburst finish, solid spruce top, chambered mahogany bowl back body, Adamas style sound holes and epaulets, bound ebony fretboard (TO DIE FOR, REALLY), rosewood bridge, under saddle pickups, Viper preamp. [attachment=5305:2b76_1.jpg] Any other owners/previous owners out there? Any suggestions on best strings for it? Cheers Chris Quote
Paul_C Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I've got Thomastik Jazz flats on my Washburn acoustic - sounds good to me, and with some kitchen towel jammed up against the bridge it does a passable poor man's upright sound Quote
paul, the Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 That's a very pretty bass. I'm really attracted to acoustics. Have you played a Martin/something else normal shaped and expensive for comparison? Quote
