Just to be aware that I emailed the seller with some questions & he has replied to tell me the the neck had to be straightened by a luthier because the truss rod did not & still does not turn. Quote
Ou7shined Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Looks like those cream covers and/or pickguard don't sit too well together - they're just jammed together. Quote
AndyTravis Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 It's not a real Fender, as far as I can tell. Quote

AndyTravis Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 (edited) It is genuine, having looked again but it just looks 'wrong'. Mah. Edited March 3, 2011 by AndyTravis Quote
warwickhunt Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Looking at a couple of recent BC ebay threads and then the ebay listings there is a Dutch bassist desperate to buy a bass from the UK! Quote

Funny thing is I very nearly bought this bass 2 or 3 years ago when it was on sale in Sarum Guitars in Salisbury. The only thing that put me off back then was a scratchy jack plug (I'd no idea how to fix even the slightest problem back then - pre Basschat days). It was in great nick when I played it and there was no sign of an iffy neck. I remember the bass being surprisingly light but I wouldn't take that as gospel. I've no affiliation with seller by the way, although it appears we both live in Salisbury. Quote
Cat Burrito Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 I read his comments more as he doesn't have the confidence to tweak the truss rod & not that it was faulty Quote
Macko1968 Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 Fair point but if that was the case he should have said "I won't", not "can't". No agenda, just want any potential bidders on here to be aware. Quote
