Shockwave
Damn, just heard via Steve Arringtons Twitter account. Mark Adams was my number 1 funk influence along with Bernard Edwards, awesomely free groovy and growly as hell tone. One of the best in the business IMO. Heres some of his greatest lines. I hope it has an impact on people who may not have heard him before. He Co-wrote and played bass on "Slide" aged just 16. I know a number of you also were pretty fond of his playing, thought you might like to know! Rob.

Pete Academy
Mark Adams had the hugest bass tone of all the 70s and 80s funk players. For anyone that's never heard of him, please check him out. Monster player.

Pete Academy
Does anyone know how he would have achieved such a huge recorded tone in the studio? I've often wondered.
