HI All

Here's mine !

'73 Jazz-bass.

Nice man. How different are they to the fender basses today? Is the feel, tone etc a lot different? Would love to have a play on a bass like this one day.

How does it differ from a P-bass that you despise all aspects of?   :P
[/quote]Hush up, you, he's clearly a man of exquisite taste

Although in seriousness, it's a slightly downsized body to the Fender standard, perhaps that's what's ticking the boxes

HI Jay. The necks are really slim as they don't have the graphite rods in them as in modern Fender basses. Every note on the neck sounds punchy.
It's the only bass I won't sell & I've had some of the best.

Haha! Honestly I don't know, im a lover of rays and jazz's and I've always looked at p's and thought they were so boring and bland, and this one has totally changed my opinion, it's just....... Different, must add that my opinion has been completely based on the appearance as I've never played a p! And this one has persuaded me to give it a try! Nice one doctor j I've got early onset GAS, me and my wallet could possibly hate you in the coming weeks :P

My (it's actually my wife's, but she hasn't played it in nearly 20 years) '83 Squier JV P:

The original bridge is in a box somewhere. The saddles had all slipped and the string alignment was shocking.

What a rig that is! I bet it sounds as good as it looks!!

Thanks pal. I'm extremely happy with it. Just a proper, classic bass sound in a very lightweight package!

My matching pair of Aria STB series J and P basses.
The P has a Quarter Pounder pup and Chrome flats while the J has Entwistle JBXN pups with a 'series switch' and D'Addario XL rounds.
They both owe me next to nothing but they both sound superb.
