hellothere
Has anyone ever got the to do a set-up, levelling or any other work on their bass? Or dealt with them in any other way? I have heard good things but would just like to check before I let them fiddle around with my basses

edstraker123
Jon Shuker is the master !
chris_b
Why would you think that a guy who can design, make and sell hundreds of £1000 plus basses won't be able to do a good set up on your bass?
hellothere
Well I am not aware how large a company it is, if he does everything himself then I have no doubt he will exceed my expectations. And it is allways better to check these things.
martthebass
Did a set up on my SR5 fretless a month ago, great job and very reasonable.
markorbit
I think you can trust Jon and any colleagues he may have to safely take care of your basses. I've dealt with Jon on two occasions and he knows his stuff.

His work is top drawer.
hellothere
Well he obviously comes highly recommended. And homer, this wasn't any refelction on the man himself, I was just checking...
niceguyhomer
Sorry, us Shuker types kinda get defensive at times - daft innit

Bless him, he works so hard I don't think he gets out much! - Oh and if he offers a viewing of the fine wood store, I'd highly recommend it (if you can resist the temptation of a new bass that is!!) ;o) Here's another +1 for Jon's immaculate work. BigRedX
I don't know what the deal is with set-ups and repairs, but from reading the many build threads here for Shuker basses, while his work is up there with all the other UK custom luthiers, he's now become a very busy man and his projected completion times are guesstimates at best. Rblake80
Jon Shuker is the man! But I usually take him some cider...
