twodinners Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Hi there, I'm looking to buy a road worn Jazz (Mexican) and want to try out as many as possible before purchase. If any of you out there know of any stockist in the London area could you let me know where. I have tried a couple of store ones already, one was ok but the other was pretty near unplayable. Alternatively if there is an owner in the North London area with a nicely set up example that wouldn't mind me having a bit of a play that would be dandy. In anticipation, Kevin Quote

I've had it for over thirty years and it has undergone several incarnations being fretless for twenty years with an ebony board. I threw the original scratchplate away sometime in the eighties and the original pickups went soon after. It's now back fretted but the neck has always been a bit unstable. It'll certainly get played in the studio as it has such a biffy tone. One of the big problems is that this bass together with my 1977 Stingray is that I just get so worried gigging them, as I'd hate to lose them. So I just want something I can gig and enjoy and not fret about. Cheers, Kevin Quote
