I can't help with this poll at all - a Stingray of any configuration remains a dream to me.

I do know, however, what would win in a fight between a lion and a tiger.

HH Still a good move though :)

I have owned H (pre and post EB) , HS and HH in my opinion HH is best, most versatile, and with the EQ set flat has a great core tone - no issues with the G string disapearing and sounds great in a band mix

I wonder how this poll would have turned out if it was only open to the people who have owned all three. I haven't - so I'd be disqualified :-)

Well I've had the HH a week now and trust me, that extra PUP turns a great bass into a remarkable bass. OK, the back-PUP ray tone is awesome, but I needed versatile, and the HH does 'ray, Precision, and a whole lot more.

If I were to get one, I think it would be the H - I just love that classic Stingray H sound. The HH would probably crossover too much with my G&L with its dual humbuckers, and despite the HS arguably being the most flexible, I think it looks dog ugly with that configuration.

I voted H, as it's the only one I've played substantively - and very much enjoy it.

I think I'd quite like an HS in future. My Lakland 44-02 has the same set-up, and it would be interesting to see what Ernie Ball could make of it - probably with loads more growl, which can only be a good thing :)

I have a SR5 H & a SR5 H with piezo.

I have had gas for a SR5 HS for ages now,.
Cosmetically my vote goes to the HS :)

I will let you know what I prefer when I get my grubby little mitts on a HS and compare it to my other stingray's :)

Bit of a thread resurrection but I own a Ray 5 HS, and for pretty much a year I've have it set on the single H, just cuts through a band mix so well.
Doing some noodling at home, middle position ( H+S ) with the mid all the way up, wow!!
Probably end up flipping the switch back to the bridge in a loud gig setting but still, HS for me purely for the options.
