Beedster
This was until recently on my '65 but has been replaced by a rather old shrunken, dirty, and smelly lump of mid-'60s nitro from California. It's a dark tort, more like that used by EBMM on the Special Edition cream 'Rays than the redder tort used by Fender on the 60's instruments. This looked pretty dark on a 3tsb, but I imagine would look stunning on an Oly White, Black, or Red Precision. It's 4-ply, cream, black, cream, tort, and is in good enough condition to put on a newish bass whilst it's aged sufficiently to go on an old one. It'll suit most MIA & Jap reissues. I don't think it's nitro, but it's been off a while and has started to warp slightly whilst my other (plastic) pickguards are flat as pancakes? Get it quick I'll take pics if anyone needs them C Edited March 10, 2011 by Beedster
