Up for grabs is my Retrovibe Rickenfacker finished in a sexy red. This is one hell of a bass (see other basschat reviews) and I love it, but I have another project in mind so this has to go......

Any questions please contact me

Cracking price for a cracking bass.
At first I didn't like the choice of pick up and bridge style, but they actually make very sensible developments on the traditional style.
Bet it goes today :) .
Good luck,
Karl.

Is this the one on Ebay?
WAS the one on Ebay before I got grassed up to the Rickenf***er police!!!!

@Karl - That's what I thought..... I've spent a small fortune on Rickenfakers and the modding them with real ricky parts only to find once I got the Retrovibe that I prefer the sound of that....... so my next projects will be modded with humbuckers MM style or otherwise..b

I wanted the red one when I bought mine, but they wasn't in stock and I'm an impatient fart so bought black. I can vouch for how utterly brilliant these basses are.

Yeah the Rick police.
OK for Retrovibe/Bass Collection/Tuscany businesses to sell on there, but not private individuals.
When they pull my ad, I'm going to tell them I will be writing to Trading Standards and OFT.
Bloody hypocritical IMO.
Karl.

Would this take a replacement hipshot rickenfaker bridge ? (I do like it apart from the bridge. Its unfortunate that they are scarce as id love to try one first.)

looks like it although not sure if this guy had to mod it a bit.

Cool bass Ian, surprised your selling up given your comments about these! I might take the plunge on a black one soon.

Yeah well I bloody love this bass... but the new Rockinbetter have aroused me... I'm a fairly tall skinny fella and the Retrovibe has I believe the same dimensions as a Real Rickenbacker, which I feel looks daft on me as I dwarf it... For the last few years the Rockinbetters have been improving no end.. This year they've got 22 frets which turns me on as I like to spend time up the dusty end of the neck and to top it all off they're bigger than a real Rickenbackers and so fit me like a glove. I BLOODY LOVE EM!!! I learn't a bit of a lesson with the Retrovibe in that I love the tone of those Humbuckers (nice and twangy) and I won't be buying real Ricky parts for the Rockinbetters..... Plus I could get 3 Rockinbetters for the price of one Rickenbacker
