foal30
your glorious leader put me onto to this site, so Good Day to everyone. I live in New Zealand, but that will not stop me cheering on the Arsenal! first things first eh?! I have been playing Bass Guitar for 20 years, writing songs for 15, gigging and recording them for 10, playing on others records for 5, just started Piano lessons (15 months) which is a lot of fun, doing some Jazz classes, starting singing lessons which coupled with the Piano lessons I hope to drastically improve my ear. My rig is an Ashdown, first one in NZ apparently (?) ABM 400, ABM 410H , ABM 1510HX. February '98 I got it. I think! Bass Guitars are a custom fretless, Guild/De Armond Pilot re-issue 5, '89 "boner" converted fretless Jazz '76 Maple neck Precision, L2 Steinberger, '71 Jazz. I don't really have a favorite, it just depends on the day. I've got Chromes on the P Bass and the Fretless Jazz, smooth city. I tend to use a Sadowsky outboard pre-amp with the '71 for a bit of hi-fi sizzle... Boss LM-2, CEB-3, BF-2B, ODB-3 and a Morley Bass Wah. Miles Davis, Prince, James Brown is pretty much the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost music wise Bass Players I can listen all day to would be Paul Chambers, Ron Carter, James Jamerson, Anthony Jackson, Marcus Miller, Jerry Jemmott. honorable mentions to Charlie Haden, John Entwhistle, Chuck Painey, Tina Weymouth, Peter Hook, and Mshell Nedgecello. and Willie Weeks, sh*t can't leave him out. anyway site looks great, well done to all concerned.
