dabootsy
Hi all just wondering if my Ashdown ABM 500 combo will push out the 575 watt that itsays on the tin without an extension cab Appreciate some help as i am rather inexperienced in the amp side of things as i have only been playing for 27 years thanks again
Machines
Your ABM500 combo will only be operating at apx. 300w without an additional cab. Adding an extension cab unlocks the full potential of the head. The 4x10 or 1x15 (effectively a cab but built into the combo) will be 8ohm. Adding another 8ohm cab will give you the 575w @ 4ohm advertised. The only way you could get the full whack out of the existing combo is by changing the speakers inside. It is a bit confusing but you'll get used to it .
