Help on choosing new rig

im looking at buying a new amp as my little marshal has recently died. im going to do it properly and buy a mid range amp.
ive played through the TC electronic classic 450 and i loved it, but unless i can get it second hand it's a tad expensive. i havnt tried ashdown abm's or trace elliots. Any opinions on these?

Ooh righty ho. i play alot of slap/ funk, but also some rock/metal kinda stuff. i havnt got a cab, so i'm buying one with the head. Probably a 2x10
im not playing massive gig's so the power doesnt need to be massive.

The Hartke Hydrive 410 is great for both slap and metal, as they're REALLY punchy, a little bit warmer / bottomy than the all aluminium drivers. I run mine with a LH1000, and have always got the tone I need to hand, not the most versatile of heads though.

How much are you looking to spend?
MarkBass & Genz Benz amps can be had for @ £350 & would do you proud. Lightweight & loud.
If you're looking for a 2x10 combo, Monkonthehill is (or maybe was) selling his Markbass 2x10 combo (same as mine) & they'll cope with anything you throw at it. I play rock, folk & bass heavy electro stuff & it sounds the nuts.
