Is there any way we could have a function added to search key words in our PMs?
For example, how can we find info about an item sold to someone who's name we've forgotten and can't even remember when the deal went down?
It's crazy to have such a huge storage capacity available for PMs but no ability to search through them other than page by page line by line.
I know we can order by date or sender but that has limited usefulness.

I was thinking the same thing a few days ago. It would definitely be useful. Hopefully when Kiwi & Ped's search for a new web developer has finished, the new upgrades that are planned will allow such tweaking.

I think this is one idea that everyone would agree is a good one.

I'd definitely appreciate something like this. Asked this a couple of years ago but it seems it wasn't feasible then - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=35714&hl

Great minds eh. :)

I currently have about 50 pages of PMs which if you count the sent ones too to comes to ~100. It's simply impossible to manually search through that lot.

Can you put a word in for us then at the next Admin tête-à-tête Shep? You can be our union rep. :)

Indeed :)

My Inbox has gone up to 28 pages, and although I don't use BC as much these days, it would still be a good function to have. The same search function that each individual forum has got would be great...

I'll see what I can do :)

Try experimenting with the export/archive function in your Messenger. It can send you an email in .xls or HTML that you can search through on your PC. If that's not good enough we'll have to see what IPBoard V3 brings !
