Sibob Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Just two years earlier Looks like 3 of mine too lol, but just very very cool! Si Quote
charic Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I like the burst, very vibrant. Im not a fan of tort myself though. Or ashtrays etc... Quote
thodrik Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 The pickup controls are really cool. Why it has taken so long for Fender to go back to that design is beyond me. A cool Fender is a cool Fender. I hope this pickup design does well and at some point makes its way to non-custom shop models. I will not even ask about the price! Quote
bh2 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I love those stacks... Guitar Village... Very classy sunburst (sorry Wayne) Quote
Sibob Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 I'd say that's a decent enough price seeing as they were around £2200 about 5 years ago. Custom shop prices don't seem as hiked as normal production prices?!. I have to say, when I've had a stacked knob Jazz. I found that I barely used the tone on the neck pickup, so for me vol/vol/tone is a more economical approach....but stacks do look cool Si Quote

gjones Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 The only problem with expensive basses is playing the thing at you average gig. You'd never be able to take your eyes off it for fear of thiefs and lowlifes running off with it to sell it for £30 at crack converters. Eh, and of course the fact that they're expensive in the first place. Quote

I don't expect the custom shop version to be that much better........but it sure is purty. Quote
thumbo Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Looks great! I'd like to play it to see if it plays as nice as it looks. Quote
acidbass Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Total beauty! I love the stack knob configuration - I've had it on my own workhorse Jazz since I bought it and wouldn't change it for the world! Honestly not as expensive as I thought it would be from the Fender Custom Shop? I was looking at some custom Warwicks the other day, in comparison, and they were more than double the cost of this Jazz. That P/J just looks IMMENSE too! Quote
lettsguitars Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 7.25" radius? blimey. personally, i think to buy a bass thats already dirty is stupid. buy a fresh one and dirty it yourself you lazy bum. Quote
