Is bass becoming cooler

Let's try it from this angle then. Obviously, if you're a bass player, the chances of you thinking it's cool and or is getting cooler are gonna be pretty high. My point is, take yourself out of the equation because it's a forgone conclusion what you think. What about the people who just listen to music?
Have you been getting feedback from people about bass. I know my son (32) has always been into lots of bass EQ (he's not a musician). So what's the feedback you're getting as a player from the listeners?

can we define "cool"


As far as defining others, id guess I here these 2 definitions mostly from others

there is the "latest fashion, good moves" kind of cool

and

the "someone, being themselves without conforming to outside influence" type cool, totally different to the first definition



And lets not forget Kool from Kool and the Gang
