Come on I'll post mine too
2015 Fender Custom Shop Jazz Bass, based on the'64 custom model but with the added binding of the '65 and a flatter neck, similar to the Geddy Lee.
For me this is "The Bass", it has everything I have always liked and wanted on a bass, looks great, plays really well and sounds even better!

Thanks Gsgbass

I see you like a Jazz or two yourself. :)
Yes Sir I do. Guilty as charged. I'm pretty much getting away from the Precision side of town. Jazzes are just more comfortable for me, and the tones are fine.

Compared to some of the amazing basses appearing on here I think I would be struggling to describe my Jazz as 'gear porn'. Harley Benton Standard series jazz, bought for £27 as a 'deko' item and modded with Entwistle pups and a KiOgon wiring harness. Total outlay about £80 and I have a nice looking and really great playing jazz. Sounds the nuts too! Anyhoo.........pictures............

That is one cracking looking bass for what is really no money at all.

Yes, it's a Jan 1966 Jazz. Refin and two replaced screws, otherwise original. My fav bass of all time.
Lovely, Jan 66 was a good month. Here's my one from the same month and year, my fave Jazz so far :)

Our basses might have been twins at first :) I don't think Fender made a white Jazz without matching headstock at the time.
Have you looked under the pick guard and in the neck pocket?

Talking of pick guards, wasn't the tort used back then , a pleasing thing. :)

I'm a bit afraid to take the pickguard off, because I heard some scary stories of pickguards not fitting back on the bass because of shrinking celluloid :)
It can be a scary prospect but I would need to have a little look see. Slowly, slowly and careful with that screwdriver :D

I think I'll take the control plate off before the pickguard ;) But were there other colours Jazzes came in in those days with a tort PG?
I'm not sure but I have seen custom colour ones with a tort guard.

They would have been triplets. I have a Jan 66 Dot/Bound sunburst as well.
