basshead56 Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 (edited) Now that I've got a decent pair again, decided to get em out... 2011 American Standard Jazz and my newly-acquired 2004 American Deluxe QMT Jazz Both remind me that no matter how much I am mostly a P or Ray guy these days, I do love a good Jazz. Still on the hunt for a nice passive model with a rosewood board. Maybe like an American Vintage or something... Edited January 9, 2024 by basshead56 5 Quote

uk_lefty Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 (edited) Can't forget this one either... A bit growly. It's a Harley Benton JBFL and I cannot believe it was less than £160 new. Edited January 15, 2024 by uk_lefty 2 Quote

Is the protective film still on the pickguard and pickups a conscious choice or more of a "ah yeah that's something I still have to do" kind of thing? Quote

Haha well I am pretty sure I had the film off the pickups before the gig but it is the kind of thing I'd forget. It only arrived a day or two before that gig. All stickers are well and truly off now, 10 months later. 1 Quote
Buddster Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 I bought this '94 jazz off here from Ramsey777 as I was looking for a project. It was originally red and had been converted (very well) to have P pickups. I wanted to add a PJ to the collection but with jazz neck/body, so really glad this came up. Stripped the body back and resprayed in Gulf Racing blue. Added a new white pickguard. Really happy with the result. Took my time setting it up how I like it and plays and sounds great. 6 Quote
Dov65 Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 (edited) MIJ Jazz in Maui blue. Arrived yesterday but only got around to testing it out today. Fit & finish are superb, pickups fine normally I would change them but I’m going to dabble with a Frank Bello pedal and see how it goes with the Geddy settings that are covered in the Bello pedal, *tuners feel fine too* might stick a Hipshot extender on tho. All in very happy…..*famous last words 2 tuners really stiff in turning so looking for a set of HB10’s* Edited March 23, 2024 by Dov65 7 Quote
BassAgent Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 I don't pick up this bass as much as I'd like to, because it has 70's pickup spacing. But boy, is it a pretty bass. 6 Quote

BassAgent Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 For the first time ever, 3 5-string Jazzes in the house. And boy, are they great. 4 Quote
Seadunk Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 Here's my Harley Benton JB75 NA Jazz Bass. I picked it up in march and I really love it. She's a heavy girl but I have a nice 3.5" Padded strap to distribute the weight. I've done a few upgrades to it since I've had it and I'm happy with where it is now. I just want to change the scratch guard for a B/W/B one and she will be finished. I've fitted Gotoh GB640 Reso-lite tuning heads, Dimarzio Area J's and a John East J-Tone preamp and Schaller style strap locks. I've also done the shielding, and grounding on it too. Strung with Dunlop Marcus Millers Stainless Steels. 2 Quote
VTypeV4 Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 '06 VM after I'd been out with it the other day - it's 'only a Squier' but there's no doubt that this is a 'real' Jazz.. ❤️ 2 Quote

SurroundedByManatees Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 The 2 jazzes I currently own; Custom Shop '66 in aged firemist silver, and an ESP 800 series (messe '91). Both are terrific. 5 Quote
Ramsay777 Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Couple quick photos of this Japanese Reissue I picked up on here this week - reversed Geddy? Been after a nice clean one for a while that hasn't been drilled for a bridge cover. Already upgraded with a nice Gotoh bridge and Seymour Duncans, plays great! 6 Quote
