wombatboter Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 For those who want to have a listen.. Here's a link to a free download of my 4th solo-cd. Recorded the basses at home (mostly Wal fretted and fretless, two songs feature the Fender Miller) and drums, percussion, horns and keyboards in a studio. wombatboter Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 I'm aware of the fact that not a lot of people react in this section of bass-chat so I'll just give it a bump... :-) 61 viewers and maybe a couple of them have actually listened so I'm not complaining ! Quote
BASIC5 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I really can't understand why nobody is stunned about this wonderful piece of craftsmanship! There 's a whole cd for grab with a sensational level of bass playing... check this out!!! Quote
Skol303 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Nice album! I'll admit this isn't the sort of music I'd normally pick up, but that's what I love about this forum! Superb bass playing and a very distinctive sound overall. My favourites are probably 'Whisbas' and 'Pas dans le trou'. Quote

RhysP Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 This is bloody great! I'm not a big one for solo bass stuff usually but I'm loving this. Your basses sound superb & I love the horn arrangements - did you do them yourself? Quote
purpleblob Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Only just noticed this thread - downloading now, but I suspect I won't get chance to listen until tomorrow being that my broadband connection is soooooooo awful. Looking forward to having a listen. Quote
purpleblob Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Finally (snail paced broadband) downloaded and listened to the tracks (I had to get the MP3's or I'd still be downloading now and for the next few days ). Anyway, fantastic musicianship and recordings. I wish I had half the talent you have wombatboter. Quote
mcnach Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 wow, some really great tunes there... an dthe playing I won't even discuss as it makes me feel so inadequate generally not my type of music, but a few tracks do talk to me, like Whisbas. I could listen to that all day long. Fantastic. Quote
wombatboter Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 Thanks for the kind feedback ..Sorry that I didn't react earlier but I had forgotten about this topic since I'm busy with moving from one house to another. Basses were recorded at my home and the rest of the musicians (including the horn-section) were recorded in a proper studio.. Nice to hear some of the tracks are appreciated and thanks for the bump Basic 5 ! Quote
gjones Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Listening now........sounds pretty darn good. Quote
BB3000S Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Woooow, this is really great stuff - thank you so much for sharing! Quote
wombatboter Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Thanks for listening and glad to hear that it pleases the ear.. when you make it yourself you can't judge anymore so thanks for the feedback Quote
