jimbobothy
Hi all, I have for a possible sale or partx my aged 2007 Sandberg JJ 5, I bought it a couple of months back but have decided I'd rather have two basses for the price of one! After recently buying a 4 string bitsa Jazz from here I would like to get another 4 string Jazz, but lined fretless to accompany it. The bass is 35" scale, balances fine on a strap. The pickups are non standard giving more of a vintage vibe, however with the active/passive options the bass has a wide set of tones available. The tone control also works when in passive mode. I have the original tort pickguard that will come with the sale. Price wise I'd like £750 collected for it, new they are £1400 + extra for the hardcore aging. I will be loosing out a bit on the price it cost me so I'd rather not budge. I would however consider a partx for a 4 string lined fretless Jazz bass (what have you got? bitsa, fender, fender drone etc all considered) + cash my way to make up the difference. This bass has done the rounds on here and if you ask any of the other owners they will tell you how good it sounds! Any questions just PM me. The bass is available to try before you buy in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. ThomBassmonkey
I have a 34" JJ5 and it's stunning. I got it because I was GASing for a Jazz, thought that it'd be a nice backup for my Warwick with some more traditional tones for some cover work but it blew me away, I've not gigged my Thumb since I picked up the JJ (in fact the Thumb's going to a new home tomorrow hopefully). This bass has certainly done the rounds since I did a trade for it with it's original owner back in Autumn 2009, which surprises me because it's such a great sounding bass! I would definitely have kept it if it'd been a 34" scale neck.. Good luck with the sale/trade!
jimbobothy
Yeah, thanks for that. I'm in no rush to sell as it is surplus at the mo but just woundn't mind a fretless Jazz
wilko_66
I have a 5-string lined jazz fretless if you are interested. Hand-made by a luthier for some guy apparently, has a chard logo on headstock. Bought it from the gallery a couple of years ago, is very nice, but recently got my hands on a vintage p fretless, so this is very surplus. would definately be interested in a trade if your up for it?
