Fitting speaker to old Cab - wire colours

For my next trick - I thought this should be straightforward - ah well...

I'm wanting to stick an old McKenzie speaker into an old Peavey Black Widow cab.

The speaker has a black & a red connecting thingy , but the cab ( which says it was made in the USA) has a blue and a yellow wire. Which wire should go in which connector?
I've done a search but couldn't find anything.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

D

Other than the phase of the cone, it wouldn't make any difference unless being used with other drivers.
Trace the positive wire & connect to the red & that should be ok.

Or you could do Red to Blue & Blue to bits! :)

Peavey always use yellow and blue wires for their speaker connections.

The yellow wire is + and should be connected to the red terminal of the McKenzie.
