Advice please, on batty Franken P thought.

So, I can't really find a P body with jazz neck. Lakland's Mr Dunn would do nicely, rockin hoss sh*t sadly.
Got to thinking, would it be possible to take the body of a classic vibe P and just bolt on the neck from a Vintage modified Jazz, or are they going be all sorts of complications?

It'll work like a dream.... provided both donors had a good fit n finish in the first place.

Have you looked a non-Fender-y basses btw or is that not an option?

The Squier Precision Special comes with a jazz neck. You may not want the bridge jazz pickup on it though.

Not really sure what non Fender-y options there are, but really just looking for the simplicity of a P pick up, rather than P/J.
It's a "classic rock" covers band I'm in so the P really does cover most of it.
