karlfer Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 So, I can't really find a P body with jazz neck. Lakland's Mr Dunn would do nicely, rockin hoss sh*t sadly. Got to thinking, would it be possible to take the body of a classic vibe P and just bolt on the neck from a Vintage modified Jazz, or are they going be all sorts of complications? Any advice gratefully received, cheers, Karl. Quote
Ou7shined Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 It'll work like a dream.... provided both donors had a good fit n finish in the first place. Have you looked a non-Fender-y basses btw or is that not an option? Quote
yorick Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 The Squier Precision Special comes with a jazz neck. You may not want the bridge jazz pickup on it though. Quote
karlfer Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 Many thanks fellas. Not really sure what non Fender-y options there are, but really just looking for the simplicity of a P pick up, rather than P/J. It's a "classic rock" covers band I'm in so the P really does cover most of it. Cheers, Karl. Quote
