lowdown
Not sure what you really mean... But Cakewalk / Sonar is midi writing software.. Or it was when i was using it about 15 minutes ago.... What do you mean by Cakewalk Instruments..? Do you have a Version of Cakewalk...? Or the addon pack called ..Cakewalk Instruments? If you are after a Midi/audio sequencer , and dont have Cakewalk/Sonar. This is the best freebie out there. Its just what you need , by the sound of it...FREE You are asked to buy a licence for commercial use.... But its not a Demo , and does not time out. So you can write as many Drum tracks as you want.Using Cakewalk Instruments. Garry

lowdown
Nash.. It really is worth getting to grips with Reaper... Its right up there with the best of them for production work. Infact it does a few things some of the biggy Daws cant manage. And is a lot more stable , without all the bugs. So dont be put off with the Cubase / protools/Logic snobbary..! Good luck with it.
