Selling price 600, FVF was 41.55, now 60 Selling price 1500, FVF was 55.05, now 150 A few pence for listing fees. Plus is it 4% if you take Paypal?!! Hats off to a great business model, I suppose.. If it was, then they're reverted back to the more complex sliding [b]sum+%[/b] scale that (I thought) the simplified 10%/£40 was brought in to replace (without me even realising). I agree that 10% (with no limit) is going to be really too-much if you're selling something like a high-end bass or gear. For the cheaper stuff it won't be so much of a 'hit'. What's the usual commissioned-sale rate these days, from the music shops? Paypal was (?) 3.4% + 20p. Not sure if this has been changed. My advice would be: if they're going to do this, then list your bass/gear for 10/30 days, see what sort of response, questions, offers you get - then pull-it in the final 24h. There are plenty already doing this - just using the ebay site for advertising really. Many of them also include their contact (mobile) number. From my own experience I was considered a business seller because my turnover of a couple of grand buying and selling guitar magazines as a hobby meant that they reclassified my account. Private sellers still FVF = 10% up to max £40. I was amused to see the heading 'Get better value for money' above the business sellers fee changes.
