krispn
I don't have too much info on this guitar other than this limited spec lifted from t'internet. My friend was given this by her father but she wants a decent electro acoustic as she's into the singer songwriter thing. I do know these were designed by Chet Atkin's before he went on to design for Gretsch and the vibe is similar in tone to a Gretsch. Nice guitar with pictures to follow. As far as we are aware this is the standard model. solidbody, sandwich construction Rosewood or Ebony fingerboard solid Maple neck, set neck 2 PU, Nashville-type 6-way switch built since the beginning 70s She's after somewhere in the £450 region but is waiting to hear back if this is a fair price from people who know more about these matters. robocorpse
Chet worked for Gretsch from 1955 to 1979. The Framus Nashvilles are from 74-75 when he was farming out his talents as an adviser and looking to get away from Gretsch, so unless he had a time machine...
