MikanHannille Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Is this pretty or ugly? I can't decide. Quote
Owen Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 The bass is pretty. The scratchplate is minging. What were they thinking? Quote
icastle Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I don't like the way it looks. The purple is 'ok' but I don't think it works against the alder and maple reverse. One or the other throughout would have looked nicer IMO. Quote
BigRedX Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Looks OK to me except someone forgot to colour the back of it. Quote
0175westwood29 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 am yeh looks awesome scratch plate needs to go tho! andy Quote
hillbilly deluxe Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Its both.pretty ugly. If it wasnt for the fact that somebodys scribbled on it/the neck and body visually disagree with each other/the headstock looks unfinished/the pickups look like the ones i had in my Marlin Sidewinder/its got a bigger problems with knobs than Katie Price /the scratch plate looks wrong, and it probably costs more than a royal wedding,it looks ok. MythSte Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 It looks like someone broke a Ritter and glued all the salvageable parts onto a cheap Yamaha... Quote

It longs wrong with the coloured top and neck but natural back of the body. Quote

paul_5 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Not for me. It's a real 'guard's parcel' and has more knobs than an estate agents convention. I'll pass. Quote
Grand Wazoo Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 The scratch plate is where the hidden neck screw are placed, if you see it's bolt on neck but with no visible neck plate or screws at the back, hence the need for that fugly scratch plate. I love PRS gear but this looks a little tacky. Quote
BigRedX Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Is that really a bolt-on neck? I thought it was set. Still don't like the blue and natural combo. They've gone to the trouble of doing the top and the neck so why not the back and sides too? It would certainly help to disguise the bland bit of wood used. Quote
hillbilly deluxe Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 It would look better to me if the rear of the body was blue and the currently blue parts were vintage amber tint. Quote
JTUK Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I'd say pretty ulgy....but if you can get past the looks, you'll probably have a very good bass. Worth the money? ...hmmmmm Quote
charic Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I like it.except for the back. I seem to remember them doing that on a fair few prs instruments. Quote
