matski
Ok, to keep the ball rolling, here's my '79 StingRay - my main gigging bass for the past 25 years. I bought it second-hand in 1986 from the Soho Soundhouse in London. The only thing that is not 100% original is the scratchplate - which comes from a transition-era StingRay and is matt black as opposed to gloss black - as when I bought it there was no scratchplate on it. Anyone got an old gloss black scratchplate they don't want....?
Sibob
Most definitely! Sunburst or Natural....its the other Birth year bass lol Si
stingrayPete1977
Keep hunting Sibob its out there somewhere! Thats well nice Matski, There was a guy trying to sell a pick guard on ebay as a vintage one for £89, I messaged him to tell him it was at least late 80's more likely 90's as it had the cutout for the wheel of fortune and I just got back a nasty message asking why I felt I needed to tell them this, I sent one back saying I didnt want a fellow pre EB fan to waste £89 on an £18.99 pickguard! It was an amp company in Walsall, West mids that were selling it through there online shop but I cant remember what they are called? Idiots will have to do until I remember! matski
You'd have to be either mental or have more money than sense to buy a scratchplate for £89! Anyways, we digress... There must be more pre-EBs out there in Basschatland - let's see 'em, folks!

I suppose it's ok if you're luck enough to be in a position where you can save up your child tax credits to go toward ostentatious crap.
If I really needed one and it was a correct none WOF cutout one I would probably offer near to that, Where else could you get one? But the fact it was possibly no older than my 2002 Ray he was taking the Michael. He said they swapped it in the shop for a mirror one and the guy gave them that in exchange as it was a vintage one! I pointed out clearly why it wasnt 110% and just got grief back in fact it was Sheldon amps I have no worries about naming them as its all true
stingrayPete1977
Hey we are all priveledged just to be on BC, But some are just a bit more priveledged than others if they can afford £500 for a pg!

You win the first place most mint pre EB competition, I think you can flip the images the right way in Photoshop (predictable I know but what can you do? )
