farmer61 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) Looking very seriously at a Broadkaster. Any experiences good/bad?? Edited April 5, 2011 by farmer61 Quote
Rayman Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Broadcaster no, Thunderjet yes. It was a work of art to look at, really beautiful, nicely built, and if I could've hung it on my wall to look at I'd still have it now, but I just didn't like it at all to play. Tonewise it was pretty dull and unexciting, and no matter what I did, I couldn't find a tone I liked at all, but I guess it's horses for courses, what didn't suit me would float someone elses boat I'm sure. bobpalt Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Owned a Broadkaster, as well as, a couple of years later, Russ's Thunderjet. Both beautiful to look at, nice to play, absolutely awful to listen to! Flat, boring tones. No depth,no excitement. to be honest, no use whatsoever to me in the band, A real shame as they were both cool as a polar bears toenails to look at. Maybe there should be a market for replacement pickups and a retrofit pre amp? Quote
