Jigster
Bass Direct is only down the road from me so I'm always vulnerable! I've been looking for a well made affordable rig and this seems to fit the bill. http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...0+Cabinets.html Mark and I were saying that the new BH amp and BC cab range seems to have crept in under the radar and there's not been much chat about them - more it would appear about the RH750 and Blacksmith. But this seems to be perfect for my modest needs and a great alternative to the pricier TC products. Have only used at 'back room' volumes as of yet, but I'll use it in rehearsals very soon and have a clearer idea of how it works in the mix etc, but it seems on the face of it to have a very clean and unvoiced sound and the amp is straining at the leash to let rip. The 500 watts into the 4ohm cab promises much. Head £375 Cab £375 All in for £750 - a real bargain. I hope. Will update more when used in anger. Musicman20
That is a bargain! Especially the amp!
Wil
So are these the pre section from the RH but with a non class D output transformer?
Jigster
yes I believe so
poptart
This range from TC represents a really great value way of getting into some serious 21st Century bass amplification IMHO! It utilises a similar pre amp section of the new RH and Blacksmith amps with a few less bells and whistles, but the same open/natural tone, the cabs are also excellent and also very light for ceramic cabs. A real bargain - don't tell everyone..................... Mark
paulflan0151
Been looking at these myself. Anyone A/B with a RH classic etc. Be interesting to know the difference.

citymariner
Sure it will sound up to the usual TCE stuff - sure as hell not as good looking though as the RH range!
