son of frog
I WANT THIS SOUND RIGHT NOW! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2w0dbTy2v8...feature=related Anyone know what i can buy these days to get a similar sick sound like this? Most phasers seem to just tear the balls out of your bass tone, this one is just pure awesome. ...Of course having a high end Jazz bass with brand new strings is always helpful too. Thanks Tom Edited April 7, 2011 by son of frog
pantherairsoft
Moogerfooger 12 stage phaser (on 12 stage mode) with some valve dirt before it. Moog phaser is f'ing amazing after a fuzz...
voxpop
Good god.... I have just listened to that jet phaser, that's heavy. The Dod does not sound like that monster....... Much much more mellow.

Higgie
I had a Roland Jet Phaser at one point. Awesome sound, but lost a bit of low end I found. Would be awesome in an X-Blender. You can get pretty close running a fuzz into a phaser.

Bankai
One of the comments on that video.
Wanna get that sound without hunting down a $ 400 vintage Jet Phaser? Get yourself an old Korg AX1B from Ebay for about $40; set it: Drive: DIST 8 -- Tone: 7/10/9/6/8/-7 -- Mod.: FLANG4/6 -- Ped: VOL 16 -- Amb: HALL1/4 -- Amp sim: T4 -- Nr: 16 -- Lv: 24 Bob's your uncle :-)
Bassnut62
ZVex Wooly Mammoth into old USA steel Small Stone does it for me. Best to run some light compression before the Mammoth too.
