barry021574
I play an Ashdown ABM evo II 575w head into an Ashdown ABM 410 cab. I like the warm Ashdown sound, but want more clarity in the sound. I'm seriously considering an Epifani 310UL cab, and keeping the Ashdown head. Anyone got and experience in comparing these 2 cabs?
niceguyhomer
Chalk and cheese IMHO - the Epifani is in a different class. The Epi will give you more clarity, I loved mine, it was very punchy and clean.
barry021574
Thanks, Alan. Did you sell your Accugroove?
chris_b
All Epifani cabs are great. I haven't played a 310 but I owned a UL410 and it was one of the biggest and best sounds I've ever stood in front of. They produce a huge low end with punch and definition that will make your eyes water!!

I just have my sublime Epifani UL410 now and all I need is a Genz Benz Streamliner and I'll be very happy.
JTUK
Go with the Epi and look to change the amp soonest..as the Epi kit is in a different class, IMO.
Gareth Hughes
I've had Ashdown heads and cabs, and Epifani heads and cabs. Still have the Epifani cabs. In my experience I could never get the clarity I wanted from the Ashdown - probably why they sound so 'warm', IMO. My current set up is a Markbass LMK head into Epifani cabs - for me it's a perfect balance of clarity and warmth.
