Colledge
I've been using this lovely amp for the last year or so and my band seems to be snowballing a bit so i need to get a bit more power behind me. she's a trace elliot v-type combo (2 valves in the preamp). looks like this: at the moment i use the amp head in conjunction with an old 80's marshall 4x10 (use the 1x15 for larger gigs) and the tone and volume is great. there are plenty of people on here who will vouch for these amps. the amp is sitting in a nice compact and light tread plate sleeve head so i have more flexibility. only the 4 stock mounting bolts where used so the amp can easily just be put back into the cab to get the standard combo back. it looks like this: i'm looking for an amp with a bit more power behind it. this one is plenty loud enough.... but i need something that will stay clean and clear when i'm blasting. this amp is the epitome of creamy smooth tone... but doesn't do crisp and clear at high volume too well. i'd love something like a bass terror but will consider anything decent quality and with some oomph. i paid about £300 for the combo so thats a base. i can put money into a deal too. i'll get some better pics later. Skezza
I think thats my old one. If so they are wonderful pieces of kit. Probably the best combo ever made. My age forced me to move on to lighter stuff. Lovely guy ot deal with skez

Colledge
thanks merton. just the combo by its self is heads and shoulders above any of my other amps in terms of tone and somehow i'd say its about as loud as my old ashdown stack (mag600). but as i said, needs must. i'm moving into my student flat next month so i need to downsize / lighten my rig. Colledge
and replied. bit more specific on the trades front. head wise ideally i'd go for something lightweight like a terror bass, shuttle 6.0, little mark, but i could be tempted by something less diminutive. and as for cabs, i'm after a neo 4x10 really, probably end up buying new though.
