ThomBassmonkey
I just stumbled across this site, it's all in Dutch (I assume) so I don't know what it actually says, but that only adds to the strangeness of it. They're amazing pieces of art though and well worth looking through. Not sure how they'd all work as basses though... http://www.bas-extravaganza.nl/?page=bassen I always wondered if this would work, but never seen a bass without a neck actually made: A one string bass: A two string bass with some of the craziest fretwork I've ever seen:
icastle
There's an "english" link on the top menu.
BigRedX
The One-String "Kinderbasje" is owned by BassChat's 7String. I've looked at buying one of his basses but he never seems to make one with all the features I want in one package... If the McDonalds Balie was a 5-string with a 34" scale I'd probably own it by now.
Ou7shined
I love the styling of the metal one - although I dare say you'd have to adjust your left hand technique a bit to play it. I've actually played the paint splat one string.
ThomBassmonkey
Thanks icastle, was so amazed by the basses I didn't even look. The MIDI bass looks really nice. If I had need for a MIDI bass (obviously it works without MIDI too, but that would be the deciding factor) then I'd definitely get more info etc with interest to buy. Fitz666
The metal one looks like a bass sitar.....wierd
tommorichards
I thought this thread was about ritter..... And that dude seems to like carl thompsons designs. And also VERY reasonable. Most of them are the same price as a new MM stingray.... Edited April 11, 2011 by tommorichards
Cat Burrito
Good lord! And they even have a Precision!
icastle
Reading through his website stuff, it seems he doesn't actually make basses as a business and he's only selling these to make space! Some of them are a little bit too 'odd' for my taste but they are certainly well executed pieces of work.

RhysP
The top one is a total rip-off of a Gittler.
