I was having a think. My ideal backup would be a small, gig bag sized single channel power amp of 250w plus running 4 ohms with a speakon out.Just a single volume control on the front. Maybe a class D thingy. Be great for rehearsals too,
My thinking was I could run this via a pre amp/DI pedal. A sansamp programmeable in my case.
Anyone do anything like this? Would there be a market for it. I would expect it to be fairly cheap with no pre amp or other gubbins.

It does.........apart from the cost. 500 notes. Ouch!

£200. That's more like it. If they lost the EQ section and £50 it would be spot on.

Ah yes, forgot that one :)

GK MB200 is a good suggestion too, just over £200...

+1
In fact I'd question whether the volume control was needed as whatever preamp is used will already have one.
Could cut another £20 off the price then as well... :)

You could buy one of the several MB F1s on sale here for less than that and get a pre-amp into the bargain.
