I am currently rebuilding my Yamaha RBX 270 and I don't really know enough about pickups to buy new ones. The current ones on my bass are dieing and needing to be replaced. Any suggestions on what I should buy?

Thx

Pickups have probably the biggest influence on the sound of your bass and vary greatly from manuacturer to manufacturer and model to model, what kind of sound are you looking for?

A lot of metal players use EMG's, or you could go with EMG PJHZ passive pickups if you don't want to mess around with active pickups/batteries and whatnot. Seymour Duncan pickups are mighty tasty too! More expensive options are available, but I'd definately start there.

The whole album sounds sooooo much better[/quote]
Not really Justice for Jason though, it's some other dude playing over the CD, Jason still isn't on it :)

That's disappointing :) I was just about to go download it so I can take the REAL cd album out of my car. I can't bare to listen to it through good speakers, you can't pretend it's their fault the bass is inaudible
