This is as new, mint condition Alembic Epic V, hardly gigged.

I have had it from new in '96 but became very disillusioned with playing music shortly after, hence it has sat in its case for a long while.

It's a shame because it is a great guitar, with amazing tones at your disposal.

I was astonished to see that the new price is now $5600 - about three grand  with a 12 to 14 week wait from Alembic.

There are a few examples on Ebay at the moment well in excess of my asking price.

I am looking for around £1000 + shipping, but it is in immaculate condition and comes with well over a hundred quids worth of extras with the fitted Bass Centre hardcase and a few sets of strings thrown in.

This is a bass that should be being played.

I used to love my Epic 5 fretless that I sold here last year. What a fantastic bass that was (it's making me long for a fretless now...). That was a bloody bargain as far as sub £1000 Alembics go!

Have you got any idea of the weight? I used to love the one I had..but it was just too much on the back. I know they can vary a bit, so its always worth asking!

Sorry about the delay in the reply but I have all but given up on this one-I am beginning to think that I couldn't even give it away!! :)

It weighs in at about 4.5 Kg on my bathroom scales-I have never really thought that it seems too heavy.

How big is the body?

Not exactly but is it bigger than the body of a Warwick thumb would you say?

Being quite a tall chap I look a bit silly with small basses....I regretted buying the thumb quite quickly!

Sorry for the delay in replying to your question Dave - the bass sits quite nicely on big chaps,I am a six footer and it doesn't look small.
I would say that it is a bit bigger than a Thumb body.
Love your Sei bass-unfortunately I have to sell not trade.
Thanks for looking - Steve. :)
