I have had it from new in '96 but became very disillusioned with playing music shortly after, hence it has sat in its case for a long while. It's a shame because it is a great guitar, with amazing tones at your disposal. I was astonished to see that the new price is now $5600 - about three grand with a 12 to 14 week wait from Alembic. There are a few examples on Ebay at the moment well in excess of my asking price. Chris2112 Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 I used to love my Epic 5 fretless that I sold here last year. What a fantastic bass that was (it's making me long for a fretless now...). That was a bloody bargain as far as sub £1000 Alembics go!

It weighs in at about 4.5 Kg on my bathroom scales-I have never really thought that it seems too heavy.

davebass66 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 How big is the body? Not exactly but is it bigger than the body of a Warwick thumb would you say? Being quite a tall chap I look a bit silly with small basses....I regretted buying the thumb quite quickly! Dave

I would say that it is a bit bigger than a Thumb body. Love your Sei bass-unfortunately I have to sell not trade. Thanks for looking - Steve.
