Dave.w
Hi, I'm Dave(What a common name ), I'm 17 years old and live in the west midlands in a small town. About 2/3 months ago my mate lent me an old aria sb series jazz clone and I really enjoyed messing about through an old fender frontman guitar amp I found lying about. About a month ago I decided I'd put enough hours in to buy myself some new tack, so I found myself a second hand Behringer bxl900 amplifier and saved up and got a Peavey Zodiac bxp (sunburst maple fretboard) it's a great bass and has always felt great value for £230. Me and a couple of mates are going to get a band together but it's not gone further than a couple of messy jams (still good fun) there both fantastic guitarists and I want to be able to do them justice. I love many many band but I'd say some of the most influential in are, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Joy Division, The Ramones, The Stone Roses, pearl jam, Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr, Jimi Hendrix experience, libertines, arctic monkeys...... At the moment I can play quite a few songs but my favourite to play at the moment is day-tripper by the beatles. Thanks for your time. Truckstop
Welcome friend! Learn a few covers to play with your mates. Some Nirvana ones are easy enough to pick up and you'll have hours of fun playing actualy songs! Truckstop
Dave.w
Nice to meet you all, @Truckstop, cheers for theadvice, yeah we're planning a couple of covers to get us going, but seeing as as one of my mates dislikes nirvana a fair bit I think we're going to learn a bit of Ramones, maybe blitzkrieg bop.
