*Feeler* - I love this bass and feel totally at home with it, but I have too many instruments and a nagging other half. She's right, the herd needs to be culled!

1995 American Standard P-bass. Totally original. A few little marks here and there on the edges, but it is 15 years old; really hard to photograph, the marks, but there's nothing of any real detriment. It is a very clean bass, as in no grime/gunk build up on the fingerboard or anywhere else for that matter.

It has little to no fretwear, plays an absolute dream with a nice low action. Strung through body. Sounds deep fat and punchy, and for a passive bass puts out a very healthy output.

Gigbag with it too, but no hard case. Strung with rotosound swing bass if I remember correctly. They've been on for a while and have been boiled a couple of times, but they still have some twang if you like that thing. I personally don't!

All in all, a lovely sounding and playing USA P-bass.

Price-wise I'd be looking for £620

Cheers

It's just a shame that you don't want a pristine US Oly white jazz in trade.

Ah well, have a free bump on me. :)[/quote]

It's a 06/07 FSR with Badass 2 and hotrod pickups. the only pic I've taken so far is on the following thread :)

Haha! I know times are hard, but the only thing I find down the back of my settee are dog hairs and the odd chip! I did once find the remote control for the dvd player after it had been missing for 12 months AND we had moved house. Weird.

are you sure the scratchplate is original?
maybe its the pics or my eyes .. but doesn't look to have the cut away access to truss rod!
I bought a black 96 model in 96 that come as standard with a white scatchplate and it had access to truss rod!

just wondered thats all

Hmmmm, well I thought it was original, but I suppose it could be one that's been bought afterwards and fitted. It was like that when I got it so honestly I don't know for sure. Certainly looks well though! Maybe the guy who had it before me swapped so it 'looked cool' or whatever. He said he's had it since new, and I had no reason not to believe him.

In all fairness mate it could have been bought in 96 .. but i reckon this was made in 95 which the N5 serial no. suggests!
I also know that all US standard P/J's made in 96 had a little oval gold sticker on back of headstock which commemorated 50 years of Fender 1946-1996 .. tho that could have easily been removed.

anyway .. It looks really nice, wish i had the money cos i really miss mine :)
it's well worth what your asking, and your local too .. bugger :)

kind regards

Chris
