WithoutRisk_BassPlayer Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Hey I found a Sandberg Basic in my local guitar shop and was wondering how good they are as I know nothing about them...? I've really been craving the musicman tone without the price of a stingray and I played on the Sandberg yesterday and I have to say it was very nice indeed! It's either this or I've looked into getting a G&L bass although I don't know how much they are or where to get them from! Any other ideas welcome on decent musicman-like basses! Cheers, Will Quote
7string Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 On page 2 of this part of the forum, there's a thread titled "Sandberg". Quite a few comments there, all of them favourable Quote
Machines Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Thumbs up for Sandberg from me. I'd love a Basic KT5 or Cali P 5.. Have played a few in PMT in Birmingham and have always been impressed. Quote
GM10 Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Not everybody likes Sandberg's but I think mine's a beautifully crafted instrument. And I'm no endorsee. Apologies for the crap picture but right now I can't be bothered to switch on the macro and take an arty one. [attachment=5576:New_Bass..._003__2_.jpg] Quote

thedontcarebear Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I want a Panther sometime, the Walnut ones look nice. Quote
simon1964 Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I've never owned a Sandberg, but like Machines, I've played several in PMT in Birmignham. They always have a good number in stock. They've all been fantastic to play, and the Basic looks a cracking bass for the money. Quote
