If its got an old MM logo on it I will pay thrice what its worth though, So that would be about right at about £150 then :)

Incredibly rare.

Novel machine head layout for an MM... although the overall design of it is strangely familiar... :)

Is it one of those MusicMan Letraset Special Edition models? :)

Unlikely - most 70s P copies tend to have maple fretboards. And yes - that's almost certainly a plywood body, so I guess times must've been 'ard back then, & Leo just had to make do.

That huge black overspray on the forearm contour is to hide the edges of the ply layers - there will be one the same on the belly carve on the back. Go & find a pic of a proper 'burst finish Fender, you'll see the burst just goes around the edges. Ply bodies (or sometimes veneered butcher-block) are really easy to spot once you notice this!

He's not adverse to applying logos to other items that he's sold... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=170601021635 :)

Indeed :) But this one is rare it says so in the description so it must be true.

Nope.
Looks far too clean to be 40 years old.
At the very outside I'd guess this to be a 90's cheapy copy that someone has stuck a MM transfer onto.

This is a prime example of why I get so p*ssed off with people when they ask 'where can I buy Fender transfers from?' - someone has either been ripped off already or is about to be.

I wonder what other 'rare' items he's going to find kicking around to rebrand? :)
