Charla
I've got a Spector NS JH5 String: Serial No.209; Spalted Maple 0n Mahogany. A Nice bass but the string spacing is too narrow for me, I'm used to the Wal and Fender Jazzes! The bass is a USA bolt-on and was made on 31.04.2005 and I bought it new. I'm not sure what it's worth so make me an offer, I'm also open to trades, specifically interested in 35" scale Jazz 5 strings, or 4x10 4ohm light weight cabinet I'm looking at a Ken Smith Jazz therefore I need £800 for the Spector. Charla
Thanks for the positive comments. It has a nice low action a well defined B string and easy to play. I'd keep it but for the string spacing being narrower than the Jazz. Cheers Charla
Mike
Just out of interest what is the string spacing?
Charla
Mike Not sure if I've done this right but it's 10mm at the nut & 16mm at the bridge. My 5 string Jazz is 11mm at the nut & 19mm at the bridge. I only know that for some reason I find the Jazz much easier to play. I suppose years of playing the Jazz has something to do with it. Saying that the Spector has been my main giging bass since I bought it in 2002! I probably just at an `awkward age', mind you my wife says I was born awkward in that I like getting new toys. I see you have a Ken Smith 6 string, I'm interested in the KSD Jazz 5 and would appreciate your views. Charla
Price added. I need the cash to buy a Ken Smith Jazz 5 string. I've also been offered a Marcus Miller in exchange; has anyone player both basses and can offer an opinion? Cheers Charla
