chris_b
It's time to update my minidisk and I'm after opinions on an alternative. I've seen a lot of love here for the Zoom digital recorders, particularly the H2, but has anyone bought any other make? If so did you compare it against any others before buying? I've been told that the Olympus LS5 is better than the Zoom. Did anyone look at this make?
WalMan
Roland R-05. Got one a while back and am getting pretty good results for both rehearsals & gigs (subject to room)
lanark
I'd be interested to see some reviews of the zoom h1 and h2 as well. I can't afford much more than £100 but I want to be able to record rehearsals and gigs and jot ideas down when I get them, and then transfer them to my laptop - obviously I want the best sound I can, but value is more important than CD master quality sound. What would people recommend as a simple stand alone mp3 recorder?
