[url="http://www.guillemots.com/"]http://www.guillemots.com/[/url] I saw them on Monday night in London and their bass player, Aristazabal Hawkes, used a double bass and a P bass and she had a really great sound on both instruments! Looked to me like she was using an Ashdown head with an Ampeg 810, along with some kind of 1u overdrive/distortion effects unit which made the bass a real feature in some songs.. I was wondering if anyone here knows more about what gear she uses? It was a brilliant gig and her playing reminded me in parts of Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads).. very simple grooves that hold the tunes together. Definitely worth seeing!
