It does look like the original logo has been sanded off at some point. Also I don't think I've seen an MX serial number before, maybe they're running out of MZ's.

What's the latest decade prefix though? MZ is finished now. And I'm only looking on an iPod screen but the lighter area just looks like a bad grain choice as the logo goes through it, It would be even more obvious if there was no laquer over it in which case they would of just sanded the whole front face at least surely?

On closer inspection, looks like a Mighty Mite neck with a photoshopped logo!

Of course it's a fake - it has the word 'Genuine' in it..

Also, the pixelation around the logo doesn't match the rest of the image.

Im saying Genuine with an unfortunate grain around the Decal. Why make a fake Mex neck and I havent looked online but that MX1 would be correct for 2011 too presumably we will see MT1 in 2021 but what will they use for 2031 if they use T for 20's?
