captain black Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 I used to own a Highway one from this year and it was great. the neck was fantastic (satin finish) and the overall build quality I have to say was as good or better than just about every other jazz I've played. Even though precisions are my thing, I still miss it.

It looks like your tuners have been upgraded as well as you have large 70s style backplates, whereas originally a 2003 Highway 1 would have had standard tuners - the same ones used on mexican jazzes.
