johnDeereJack
Hi all. This is a fortnightly soire hosted by Ailsa Bates of Bullet VI/Misty Moon & The Hep Cats/Electric Avenue Band It's held in The Parlour Bar on Duke St in Leith and kicks off around 9pm. It can be a bit of a squeeze at times but it's good clean fun none the less! The backline is supplied so all you need is your instruments but if you're nice I'll let you play my bass. (assuming you're a bass player that is!) It's not a 'learn some songs then come jam them' situatiuon - this is by no means frowned upon but we do try and keep it all purely improvised. So far we've gathered a real eclectic mix of muso's covering everything from jazz through funk and rap to hard rock. We have a couple of fabulous guys on keys, some great horn players, fantastic guitarists, a whole host of drummers & percussionists and a plethora of vocalists Any and all musicians welcome - specially bass players! Hope to see some of you guys there tonite Cheers, Ian
