ben604
One of our active cabs has blown a t4a fuse of which we don't have a spare handy. Can we use any other for the evening safely? Thanks Ben.

Use an F type fuse and it'll blow before the unit has completely powered up and using a value other than 4A will either cause it to blow straight away or render the unit unsafe. That fuse is the first line of defence between you and a trip to hospital...
stingrayPete1977
What sort of other fuse have you got? They are smaller than normal plugtop fuses you know. The problem with the old "it's only a fuse that's blown" theory is knowing why it blew?
ben604
Thanks for the replys, guys. We ended up using just one PA cab...sounded a bit one sided, but luckily they've got a bit of grunt. Now, to buy 34 spares for the next time...

JTUK
My main worry would be WHY had it blown..?
ben604
That's something we'll look into. They've been serviced yearly up until we bought them, so they should be in good nick. Another service should hopefully reveal the problem. It was our 3rd gig in 24 hours with them so I can't decide if it happened when I turned it on at that gig or when I turned it off at the 2nd!
