Just read an interview with Bootsy in Guitar and Bass mag. His Space Bass has 4 outputs going into 4 effects pedal which go into 4 separate amps! Sod being his tech.

And he also says "the days of straight basslines coming from a bass look like they may be nearly over. There`s a whole new approach coming in."
