d-basser Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 the more i look the more two compacts under my Fafner would be the sexiest idea ever...that or 4 of them shame I am poor and not gigging at the moment.

d-basser Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 ^I thought of that, the appeal of two compacts, or even one due to the efficiency (but that doesnt looks so cool), is that I dont drive and they are nice and small so I can chuck them in a mates car or a taxi easily. If I get a well paid placement for the summer think I will be investing.

(NB: Not to be used on non-Barefaced cabs, unless you want to put it on a Meyer Sound one or something like that. Placement on Behringer or Bose is punishable by death!)
Things are looking good. I think I'll let it evolve over the next year or so and then replace it with something smarter, at which point I shall come back to all you web gurus! Alex
alexclaber Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 If you've ever used www.pipl.com to search your name, you might be surprised to find what's out there. I go by my second name as did my father and as does my paternal grandfather, so on searching for my first name and surname I was surprised to find this: http://v3.espacenet.com/publicationDetails...mp;KC=&FT=E relating to my Dad, and this: http://v3.espacenet.com/publicationDetails...mp;KC=&FT=E and this: http://v3.espacenet.com/publicationDetails...mp;KC=&FT=E relating to my Grandpa. alexclaber Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 It's all go here at Barefaced! Working on the new website and also getting the various 12" models sorted - expect the Midget, Double Midget (2x12" almost exactly the same size as the Compact) and Big Baby to be appearing shortly. And there's a brief news item about us in the latest issue of Bass Guitar Magazine. Also in the melting pot are various PA speaker designs and some unique hi-fi speakers. Alex

Nice to see that the mag has it's nose to the ground! Have you got a link to talkbass mention?

Uncle Balsamic Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Is that just a regular old handle on the top there? Deos that mean there are three handles on Big Ones? Also, is it possible to have, say, swappable grills with a vintage one and a normal one? That would be pretty cool.
alexclaber Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) Looks good doesn't it? The port looks massive! One strap for tilt and roll, two straps to pick it up in theory but in practice I just tend to grab whichever are most convenient.
