Born 2B Mild
Victor's playing at http://www.hemnesjazz.no/ tonight with no Fodera, thanks to an airline c*ck up. If there are any Norwegians with a nice bass, preferably a Fodera, can they come to Mr Wooten's rescue, pronto? Let me know!
JMT3781
lol.. i rented a fender roadworn jazz for a night in oslo.. wasn't cheap lol!
Chris2112
Or alternatively, another nice bass to put in his hands and see what happens with it?
Machines
I think he'd have to cancel rather than be seen with another make of instrument, I bet his endorsement deal has serious T&Cs.

Clarky
BC'er Joona (site name bassotaiteilija http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showuser=12160) is in Helsinki and has a lovely Fender CS 64 Jazz (that I sold him!). He was on the site earlier today so maybe PM him? Edit: I know its not a Fodera but better than no gig at all I guess - I have PM'd him Edited April 27, 2011 by Clarky

I'll have a think, I know a few bass players in Oslo.

Have to say, I'd be pretty pissed if I'd paid to see him play and he wasn't on an instrument that he felt comfortable on. But then again, perhaps that would make it more interesting. I'm guessing whatever Vik plays, he could make it sing.
steve-soar
This is now 10 pages long on Talkbass and they are all nutters posting. Posted just before, "Also, might I suggest posting this on basschat.co.uk? They might have some folks that are closer to Norway. I know TB is international but it surely couldn't hurt." Americans and geography, a dangerous combination.

steve-soar
I've just heared that Paul McKenna will be at the gig. "Ok Victor, when you wake up, this skanky P bass will become a beautiful Fodera Monarch and you will make it sing like no other. 3,2,1, you're back in the room". I think he got one free once that had a fault or a problem with the neck, that was the black bass that he throws about at live shows. Otherwise, I think he can play what he wants. Afterall, he has played a few other basses live over the past few years; Compitos, Steinbergers etc etc. However, it is an insult to Victor to even suggest that he should play a show with some rubbish old Fender when he should be knocking out his tunes of top spec custom basses! It's be like going to watch Miki Biasion do a rally master class and seeing him driving round in a Kia.
