The CS is the same 'footprint' as the V63 and, like you, I have owned both with the same features as you describe. I'll never understand why RIC did that: fatten the neck and make the 'cresting wave' shorter. This also makes the pre '96-'97 CS more sought-after than the later ones with the fatter neck.
